I write because it feels like home.

I suppose that’s why I do all the creative things that I do; drawing, singing, painting. It all softens me and brings me comfort, and in this buzzing world, softness and comfort are so, so important to me.

I’m in a bit of a foggy patch, mentally, at the moment. I’m transitioning from one phase of life to another, and I’m also putting myself and my creative work ‘out there’ a whole lot more than I ever have. That can be scary, and the fear of rejection and judgement sits in the passenger seat of my life, quite often.

For this reason, comfort is important and I am so grateful that my instinct at times like these is to burrow in and surround myself with beautiful things.

This blog is a place of comfort for me. At times where I feel my mind racing, the logical conclusion would be to stop everything and rest.

Not for me.

My logical conclusion is to write, and remember the beautiful connection this blog gives me to the world and my own heart.

Time for bed, now.

Take care, sweet friends.
