It feels as though a part of me has been set free.

Over the past few years, I have been working with the aim of writing and illustrating a picture book. I’d still love that very much. But something has shifted.

I no longer need to be chosen.

I no longer need a publisher to say: ‘Oh my, this is special. I choose you.’

Because I have fully chosen myself.

I am opening my own art business. I am creating art that resonates with my heart, and I somehow just know it will find its people. The people who need it, when they need it, for their very own reasons.

One day, not too long ago, I began asking a new question.

Do I need to be chosen?

The answer came in the form of action and a decision. A decision to start my own art business, and the act of making new art to sell.

I would still love to have a book published traditionally, but the energy is no longer: I need this to tell me I’m good enough.

Now, it is: ‘A book would be great, because I have a beautiful offering for the world.’

That really does feel like a massive shift in energy and perspective.

A precious slice of love and freedom.

What a sweet gift.

Sending all my love, my beautiful bloggy family.

Take care.
