I set the twigs down, and some logs cut from two of our past Christmas trees. I sawed them to bits yesterday, when I needed life to be more. I often need life to be more. Perhaps thats why I create.
I lit the twigs and the logs caught slowly.
Then I listened to music and cried at the sky. Like a wolf. I like to think the pain landed somewhere among the stars, but I’ll never be certain. Perhaps it hung around to cry another day.
The music showed me moments of my life, visions appearing in the fire as it crackled and waved. Feelings of times so complex I’ve never really known how to process them. I’m not sure I will ever truly know how to process them, but crying helped to soothe the ache.
Ultimately, the feelings just wanted to be seen, and to meet the sky.
Beautiful music. Beautiful sky.
Beautiful tears from a life fully lived.
