Boom. Like a strike of light through the sky, there she was.
After so long, staring into the empty space ahead, wishing to go back to the safety of her silence.
It hurt to speak. Too deep, she ran, her waters like rapids eating the souls of the trees around as she sped on by.
This was the place her soul tore apart. Tipped its contents out. Peppered the world.
Out there she could hide.
Out there, her mask protected her from the truth of how very deep she ran.
She wanted this place, like danger.
She hid from it like the softest cloud.
