About Brooke

I am not any one thing, and that, I suppose, is the creative wind I have always loved to be.

I sit somewhere at the bottom of the ocean, where the wild things sway, and the poets sift the sands for gems to decorate their words with.

Creative life is ever unfolding, and much of mine unfolds on these very pages.

I have a both a Bachelor of Creative Arts and a Master of Arts, Writing. I have written many short stories: some award winning, some quiet and true for my heart only.

The last few years, for me, have been dedicated to the world of children’s literature. As a child, I cherished books and the beauty they brought to my life. As an adult, I use that stored beauty to create Illustrations and stories that I hope will touch other little lives in some small way.

Like a breeze, warm and sweet. Noticed, and appreciated. Gentle and soft. That’s the energy I’d most like to gift the world on my travels.

I couldn’t bring this ‘About page’ to a close without mentioning the most important part of my life. My family. My beautiful husband who both drives me mad, and feels like home. My three children, who remind me often who I want to be in the world.

I welcome you here, to this little inter-land of mine.
